Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

The boys being boys (it took many tries to get this picture!) Ethan informed us that he would be going to Vienna with Levi.

I will miss seeing these two chase after each other. On the way to church Mackenzie told us she was going to give Abby one of her jelly bracelets. "Definitely the blue one because Abby doesn't like pink."

Mackenzie was anxious to sign the poster, and she is showing me exactly where she signed it.

Now what exactly does that mean?? (Duh! No hablo German.)

A Quiet Day

I was exhausted last night. We had quite the busy day yesterday. Our good friends, Brad and Stacey, were commissioned at church yesterday morning and then the church held a Bon Voyage lunch for them. There were some good laughs and lots of tears. My kids don't totally get that they won't see their kids again for a long time.

Matt and I have had a pretty quiet day so far today, and I'm feeling a bit melancholy. I took some pictures from the luncheon, but I have to figure out how to upload them from my mom's camera to my computer. Until then, my blog will have to be a boring bunch of words. (Then when I get it figured out my blog will be a boring bunch of words with pictures. teehee)

Caps and Gowns, Bathing Suits and Shower Caps

My baby is a graduate!! Ok, it is only preschool, but she is ready for kindergarten! I didn't expect this year to go by so quickly, but I shouldn't be surprised. Everything seems to be flying by me these days. Mackenzie's school doesn't do a formal graduation. Everyone participates in an End of the Year program and at the end of it, the Pre-K kids are called up and they get their little diplomas. I laughed with one of my friends about how her son graduated with his cap and gown and Mackenzie would graduate wearing her bathing suit. But what I didn't know was that she would be wearing a shower cap too!! hahahaha :) Actually, she was wearing her t shirt and shorts and no shower cap when she was called up.

So, where are the pictures? Well, it seems my camera might be possessed because when I went to use it, it was dead. It has been playing dead at all of the important events I go to lately. Thankfully I had my parents' video camera and I used it to take pictures. But you'll have to wait for those until I read the manual and learn how to upload them. My baby might be a high school graduate before I can post those.

The Great Escape

Last weekend my two dear friends, Amy and Stacey, and I were able to get away and enjoy a night in Lake Placid. We wanted to spend some time reminiscing about the past before they both desert me!! Just kidding. :) Well, not about the part where they are leaving. We had a really nice time and ate A LOT of food. We were able to visit with some friends while we were there, and we went to the local blueberry festival. Yum!! Here are a few pictures of our time there.

Wittle Wivi

Kristen, Mike and little Livi are visiting this weekend for Mother's Day, and I went to town taking pictures of her and the kids. She is such a happy baby. And her rolls... I want to eat her up!! Livi got the biggest kick out of watching Mackenzie. Kenzie would make faces at her, and Livi would smile and giggle. Why wittle wivi? That's how Ethan says it...

Spring Training Camp

Those of you who know my dad know that he is a shopper. Most men have to be dragged to the mall, and those same men are the ones you see dozing on the benches outside of the women's stores. Not my dad. He goes to the mall whenever he can. Of course, this would explain the large collection of Nikes, watches, hats, etc. (And this is why my children always have super cool sneakers!) On his day off yesterday, he went to the mall and bought the kids a t-ball set. Spring training camp at the Yanez house has begun. Ethan promptly told my dad that he doesn't want to do sports (ouch!), but after I informed him that doing sports will make him strong enough to be a firefighter he decided that sports would be ok. Mackenzie loved hitting the ball. Hopefully she has more talent with a bat than I did.

Our Harvest

Our little tomato plant has yielded little red tomatoes!! It's a meager harvest, but one all the same. I bought this little tomato plant from Lowe's thinking it would be cool to watch the tomatoes grow. Personally, I don't like tomatoes, but Mackenzie LOVES them. She has been a really big helper by watering the plant, and she makes sure to let me know how big the tomatoes are getting and if they have changed color. It makes me want to plant more veggies. But not anytime soon.

A Day With Levi

This is way late, but I wanted to post a few pictures of our time with Levi last week. I thought these were a few of the funnier ones...

The Secret Seminole Fans

I knew deep down they were really Nole fans....
